J M BARRIE'S PETER PAN, the GRAPHIC NOVEL

J M BARRIE'S PETER PAN, the GRAPHIC NOVEL

My adaptation of J M BARRIE'S PETER PAN, published in 2015, was the first of it's kind in the UK. I adapted the script using Barrie's own words, and produced the black and white artwork. The colours were added by talented colourist Fin Cramb. This book was six years in the making, and the extensive research that was done prior to production, ensured an authentic adaptation of the original author's work. The book was reviewed by Dave Gibbons, co-creator of the Watchmen graphic novel, for the First Minister's Reading Challenge. Here's what he had to say: "This new graphic novel adaptation of Peter Pan by Stref successfully supplants the comforting cartoon visuals of Walt Disney and returns the story to the darker mood and imagery of the early 20th century. The formal compositions and fastidious linework echo the stage presentations of the original drama while transporting the reader to an exotic Neverland, where thrilling adventures await. -DAVE GIBBONS, (comic artist, writer and co-creator of the Watchmen graphic novel) You can find out more about this book and how to purchase a copy on the J M BARRIE'S PETER PAN Facebook page, where lots of hidden secrets within it's pages are also revealed!
